Going for Pinks and Yellows
Cheerleader....
Good Morning Phyllis! So...I've heard that you are the "cheerleader" of the bunch! Apparently tis' true! = ) I love your "blue education"!
I was tickled reading what the two of you had written, Carol! I was remembering the picture of Aundi (sp??) and the wonderul bright colors in the room behind him! And the newly decorated hall in Phyllis' home...I can see both personalities in each. = ))
Speaking of the name of (grammie) Clara...did any of the new generations get her name?
I can't wait to see my new pin cushion! I really love that it will have a very special button! Thank you. Really.
Teresa, after reading your first post about hanging out in the pool enjoying your family...it made me realize that I'm not doing enough of that and our summer is slipping away...before we know it we will have to be back to the grind of school! So...thank you!

A Few Blue Things
Thank you guys for praying for me on saturday.I was a little nervous, but reached the finish line. Got a few good laughts along the way, and hope the more serious stuff was well taken. There are quite a few wonderful young women that really want to live to the glory of God. It's a beautiful thing. This is one of the things that I do to relax, Carol. Find blue things for you to look at.Isn't it fun?Teresa, will you want to come home? Sounds like you're having yourself a nice little vacation. Yes, and poor Joe Joe, he will need extra special pampering when you get back. Connie, sorry your pincushion is taking so long. It's finished except for the button. I'll post a couple of pictures so you can choose which one of Clara's vintage buttons you would prefer.Excuse me, Grammie Wright's vintage buttons. By the way, I believe the name Clara is being revived. Making a comeback.
Lunch this afternoon -
Brian, Caden and I picked Valory up at her work and walked a block down to the "Old World Cafe" (In Corning) and I had a Chicken Salad sandwich and some Chracciatelli soup. The soup was kinda like egg drop soup with Parmesian cheese and chicken.
We sat outside at a table in a beautiful courtyard type area with a man playing a very odd guitar. The guitar only had the strings and a board underneath with the outline of a guitar made of some kind of metal or wire?? Not too sure. It was just odd.
I'm not really missing home much.....it's so cool here. I love it. I talked to Laura this morning and I doubt Joe Joe is missing me either! He's sleeping with Jake and Tinsley so they are spoiling him rotten!

I'm leaving this morning -
See you all next week. I don't know if I'll have internet service so I probably won't be reading or posting. Besides......I'll expect to be in the pool! Oh, Connie doesn't know, I'm going to Corning, NY to stay with my son, Brian. He has an extremely active 4 yr old, Caden, so I'll be very busy. I hope I can keep up with him! Be back next Monday.
Phyllis, I hope your devotional went well yesterday.
Carol, I hope you got your refrigerator and you doctor's visit went well. I guess you haven't posted because your still eating trying to make up for the last few weeks?

My First Garden Cucumber
Here's Your Striped Fabric Carol
I agree it looks good with the wallpaper. I just don't think I could handle the stripes as draperies. It shall land on a pillow on the bed. And I will have beach roses at my windows. If I were going to have stripes at the windows, I guess it would need to be a little more subtle, but I can handle this as a pillow.Anyway, no time to work on this yet, as I need to polish up my devotional for saturday's baby shower.
CAROL - Some more of my talent !!!
I told Phyllis about this last night on the phone......when you two posted pictures of your "oh so yummy" looking pies I was ashamed to post a picture of what my dessert was for that night......but after reading your comment on my baby pictures (which by the way are very flattering and thank you so much!) I thought I should remind you that all 3 of you have a talent that I don't. Baking and Chef playing!
Here is my dessert I had the same night you feasted on scrumptious pies.......I tried to dress it up a bit by putting it on a nice dish.....than I thought I might add a few sprinkles.......but you know I actually just pulled them out of the plastic bag right? LOL!

Grass....
I agree with all of you! Perfect! The grass (in my humble opinion) goes great with the new wall paper...makes one feel the wind on your face as you stand on the edge of the cliff at the light house! = ) I do have a but.....and remember, I over process EVERYTHING!!! lol The very first thing (how very sad for me!!) I thought of was the fragile spot for a vase....considering grandchildren. = ( So, naturally the answer is keeping that in mind when you replace the container (maybe a wider bottom). I also think a container with color....plain of course, pick a color from the wall paper. (?????)
NEXT....what WILL you replace the grass on the nightstand with???? = )

Grass for Carol

The Front of my House (Living Green Jazz)
I've got a Weeping Birch(tree), A WeepingWillow (bush),and three kinds of grasses. When the wind blows it's something to watch.
The grassy stuff behind the chair is "Switch Grass". This is what Laura's family burned during a very bad blizzard( Little House on the Prairie).
The light lavender flower is Russian Sage.
Can't wait til these get fluffy.
