I think the lining is a bit dark for the coat material but it'll do. This is just my "test" coat. Wish me luck!!

My screen shows it more a purplish color but I know you said it's brown..I really like it. Can't wait to see it when it's done...You'll have it for next year. I know I already said this but I'll say it again.."I am so impressed"....
Are u putting anything in between the lining and the outside material to keep it warm....or is the material that heavy that you wont need it???
Thanks Carol, but first lets see if I can do it before being impressed. Actually, it's not impressive at all as I don't think about the "end product" until it's all done. I take one step a day - one step at a time. Some times it actually works out!
No, nothing goes in between the 2 materials. The pattern doesn't ask for it and the material I got is pretty heavy. I want to make a winter one with heavy wool coating material and the lining in a heavier material so it should make it warm enough.
I'm confused. Is the dark brown fabric the " real " fabric. This look lavender on my screen. Pretty coat. Yes, I see it says "test" So is your test fabric lavender? I guess I didn't get enough sleep last nite. Have been doing rather well in that area tho.
Nope, the coat material is a lighter brown and the lining is the darker brown
