Young Grammie and Poppy

This book is "amazing"......I am heading over to "Staples" today to see how much it will cost to have the whole thing copied. Bob was saying I should also have a copy for each of my children so that they will know where they came from when they get older. what a great idea....
We spent about 4 hours at their home. It was wonderful and I learned a great deal...let's see..
1. Bob made a cornbeef dinner that was so good, he gave me the recipe, I always made it a boiled dinner, didn't know any other way until yesterday...Oh and Teresa, please send me about 6 boxes of those wonderful noodles that I can't seem to get here, ( I will pay you via paypal) Mary Ellen made a salad with those noodles and the first thing out of Don's mouth when we were leaving was....we have to get those noodles, her salad was great.
I learned some things about Phyllis....LOL I sure hope you have a sense of humor sis....cuz you know we LOVE you very much. Killing butterflies by stabbing them with a pin and putting them on a board for a science project Just made me crack up laughing....( so it's not the worse thing but we all know phyllis wouldn't hurt a fly, but a butterfly!!!!!!!!!!!....lol
Mary Ellen and Bob pack up today and leave tomorrow for the west side of Fl. for a month before returning home. I will miss them, it's nice having family in the area. Teresa in Oct. after we go to Stuarts wedding, they have invited us to stay with them for a couple days, (yes!!!!! out in the woods, in a cabin....Let me know what you think. (Us meaning you and Phyllis also) .....they have extra bedrooms...5 extra beds, I think they said....
Yesterday was a wonderful day and I just wish you both could have been there with us,, but really you were in my heart......With Mary Ellen it's like the start of a wonderful friendship and yet a continued one in Chriss.....(She would be so very Happy)......

We had a wonderful time. She is just as I remembered her and sooo much more. Such a wonderful person.

Today is a "Testing" day.......

Testing .... Testing .... Testing. Begins at 2:15 this afternoon - Echocardiogram, MUGA scan and a MRA - Renal arteries. Please remember me this afternoon and pray for my calmness while going through these, not that they are a difficult test but I'm a baby when it comes to IV's and that contrast dye they inject. Plus these will take over 2 hours and I don't do well laying on my back for even a few minutes. Thanks my sweet Sisters. Oh - the biggie is on Valentines Day @ 9:15 am. The Stress test! (Cardiology: Adenosine stress) That is one I'll need huge prayers for as it scares me to death....guess I shouldn't say that huh??

.....also please pray for the results on all these tests to be that everything is ok.......

JANUARY 24 2011-MARRIED

SHANNON GOT ME UP AND GOING EARLY THIS MORNING WHEN SHE CALLED AND INFORMED ME THAT HER AND JOEY WERE GETTING MARRIED AT THE JUSTICE OF THE PEACE AND WOULD I STAND UP FOR THEM.....WOW....MY BABY GIRL IS MARRIED...HARD TO BELIEVE...WOO HOO
(On a sad note, she lost the baby Saturday morning. It was rough going for her. She was really looking forward to having another baby. Max is awesome and doing well, for almost 5 mo. the little one is quite mobile.....lol He rolls all over the place and is having a great time playing hide and seek...lol).

Storage Shopping Under Way......

Don and I decided to do a little "extra shopping", this alone cost just under $100.00 so were going to be adding to it periodically.....But it's a start. 1st and foremost on our list is water, and peanut butter...Did you notice I caved and bought dry milk (just in case)....whew that stuff is costly. I did take note on all experation dates so it's good until 2013. I'll keep taking pictures as the pile gets higher....(that is so wishful thinking)....

Tea Time

This is a lovely girl.

I try to infuse tea time with a few little "proper things to do" statements. Sometimes Miss Priss is too quick for me.

A piece of fabric from my stash. Autumn pitted the dates and filled them with peanut butter. She discovered the apricots in the snack cupboard , "Sweets, sweets, sweets." They joined the date plate. Mikey prided himself on the fact that he drank "Five cups of tea."Oh, the delights of tea time.

I got a beautiful Cardinal sunchatcher from Tinsley and Glenn Beck's book, mugs and bowl, CSI video from Tim and Laura and a mini book light from Jake. I'll see Susan and Jeff & the kids later today. I enjoyed dinner last night with Juanita, Tim, Laura, Tinsley and Jake. Shrimp Scampi....did I ever tell you want an awesome cook Tim's Mom is?? It was heavenly! We went to church for a candle light service after dinner.
