I never saw this picture before...what's he doing by a plane?
I would know that stance anywhere....I never have seen this pic of Daddy either....where was this taken????
If you click on the picture and click again you can see the writing better.Better, but not very good. I wondered if it said "Hardings" at the top and US underneath with a tree in the middle.Maybe some of the boys have talked with him about this airplane and white suit.
I looked again . I don't think it's a "u".
I see the U.S. but still don't understand what he's doing with a plane and in the coveralls....
Yea,I don't even see any writing! He looks so young, maybe in his teens?
The U.S. is in the symbol on the plane to the right of his head...wonder what he was thinking of when that was taken???????
Bob thinks it's a US Forestry unit or something. I thot he looked early twenties maybe.
I agree with Bob. That's what I was going to say after I looked at it! My Mom's Dad worked for the Dept. of Forestry and that's what it looked like.
