I wanted to share my gift from Tovi with you. I thought it might be interesting to see life from the 1920's. Some of the advertisings are goofy huh? Especially the one for Camels' Cigs!! Tovi has sent me many vintage baby clothes for my babies as I told her I like vintage things. She is my friend from Doll-fan, a forum we belong to.

My WA Friend, Tovi Sent This To Me -

She sent you the whole magazine? Nice. I'd like to make up that little apron in the lower right hand corner ( second picture )and make me some corn relish... Sometime this summer.
I have a gift for you! But, you would need to use them for a doll for yourself!
I have a baby dress that was aunt connies, and her shoes....although, the shoes are when she was bigger than when she wore the dress. I will take a pic and post it...if i can remember how.
would you like them for your dolls?
aunt connie had given them to my aunt sue (my dad's sister) and years ago aunt susie gave them to me. i've probably had them at least 10 yrs.
I remember seeing pictures of that little campbell girl, so much better than then now.....I love looking at old posts and I would like to see the apron after someone makes it...So cool....
Oh, Connie, I would love the baby dress and the shoes! I am working on toddlers now and I have a kit coming that is the size of a 5 yr old child! Maybe the shoes will fit her. That would be so nice!
Ok then...I will get them out this week and mail them to you! : )
I didn't really know what to do with the. I don't really like haveing things....just because...you know? I like them to be useful. At first I had the dress on the bedroom wall and the shoes on a shelf on the wall with it...but the dress would just get dirty and with this dry desert air, I wasn't sure how to keep the shoes in good condition. They look like new.
I'm really excited it came to me that you would like them and make good use of them! I was reading those 20's ads and it popped in my head! : )
Thanks so much Connie. I'm excited to get them. I have a dress hanging from the shelves in my living room and this will be nice to hang beside it.
