I'm dissappointed in the size
The hat fit the Paige baby (Bountiful Baby's 19" sculpt) but the dress turned out much much too small. I have it pictured here on a 14" doll.
No Phyllis, it's not smocking .... I ran 3 gathering stitches and gathered the material than I did a decorative stitch between the 3 gathering stitches right over the ruffles. It looks kinda like smocking huh?
I'm going to have to try to alter the sleeves to make them bigger around.

Aunt Connie did great!
Just wanted to let you all know that Aunt Connie did very well and I left having lunch and visitying with her dear friend "Helen".
She will resume her coumadin Tues. evening.
After a healing time of 4 wks, we will beable to get her a "bridge" to replace the tooth.
This coming Monday I will take her back down for her hearing aid "fitting". I had hoped to accomplish both this morning, but I was concerned with Aunt Connies "wobbly legs" after the surgery this morning. She couldn't walk to the car, they had to use a wheel chair. But by they time we were home she was back to normal. = )

First of my sample fabrics that I got cheap, cheap, cheap.
Here's a good fuzzy picture for you all.
My first mitered corner. Don't know how this fabric will work as a kitchen towel, but, we'll give it a try. I'll leave it on the stove , handy for when we 're cooking. Alex made a fabulous blueberry cobbler from the Joy of Cooking cookbook. I should post some of his creations. BTW, this first piece of fabric was 25" by 25". I took 5" off one side. There are 6 different fabrics, each a bit longer than the previous one. Samples from Laura Ashley.

I Had Saved This Fabric Picture...
And last week I found it at Stitch & Sew. Bought a yard. It's April Cornell. The salesclerk kept saying, "It's not a new design." Actually, I had asked if they sold any Amy Butler fabric. While looking at that, I found this. Found a bunch of Moda fabric also. Don't care if it's a new design. The fabric for my bedrooms was designed 15 years ago. Love it. Carol, I already have a manger scene. You'll love this one of Aunt Connie's. It belonged to Grammie Wright. That's a plus.

Creche...Aunt Connie's
We are not using Aunt Connie's Creche, so I thought I would see if one of you would like to have it. Here are some pics...they are from Christmas of 2004 when Aunt Connie was here and she set it up on my piano. I think I have pics showing it under Aunt Connie's tree. That is where she always put it. So...for several years we had it under our tree. But because our house is not very large, it's just too big for under our tree. This is the one that Aunt Connie has told me was her mother's. I think it was 2003 that she gave it to me.
Blood Test Results
Well, the dr's office just called with the results of my blood test I had done on Tuesday. The enzyme levels are up so I guess I'll have to have that darn liver biopsy after all.
