Becky's Sewing Accomplishments & My Red Sling Tote

Becky is the young woman I get together with on thursdays for sewing lessons. We actually do much more talking than sewing. I always look forward to our time together. This is a gift she made for a friend. I would say she's coming right along. Actually, she's very much a perfectionist, and it shows. This is the second item she has sewn. The top is lined, gathers, zipper...Whew. She's going to sew the brown ribbon onto the dress, above the gathers. It will be a little higher up than it is now, making it look more like an empire waist.
Her first sewing project for her daughter Callie. Made her own buttonholes after figuring it out for herself.

Made myself a big, fat ,red pincushion.

Yesterday's handiwork.

My storage unit for edible Christmas goodies. As of this moment it contains a tin of peppermint bark and a small box of chocolate covered coffee beans.
