Chai Tea (Indian Spiced Tea)

2 cups water ,3-5 cloves,1 cinnamon stick, crushed,2-3 cardamon pods, crushed,1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup milk,2 tablespoons black tea leaves...1. put the water on the stove and add spices, bring to boil. 2. cover and let simmer for few minutes. 3. add sugar and milk, stir. 4. bring back to just barely boiling (watch pot, milk will bubble over). 5. add tea leaves, cover pot, remove from heat. 6. steep for 5 minutes. 7. pour thru filter to remove spices and tea leaves.

I made some a little while ago.I use two tea bags instead of loose tea. My little story... I got the cardemon pods out and measured three into my hand. Noticed one on the floor. Oh, picked it up , rinsed it off and tasted it (at this point i was going to toss it into the pan with the other little pods).I decided not to use it for my tea because it tasted like .....a stone. Which it very much was.I'll have to take a pic and show you how similar they look. What fun. Good for a laugh.I don't want to hear anything about my eyes. There was just a small light on at the time.
