LivingRoom

1/2 of t
he wood in here was actually in the familyroom. but as I said Brooks wanted everything to "flow".....so we rearranged the living room and put all of the matching pieces in here....
WE FLOW NICELY NOW....LOL

New Furniture

Just so you know the foose ball table is going and so is the glass coffee table. According to Brooks everything has to "flow" so I went out and bought a couple pieces that would match my kitchen table.
Kitchen table......4 drawers
Serving table but I am using it for out TV....
End table to match , the recliner rocks and reclines. The 2 ends of the couch also recline....

My Weekend Dessert

Mommy used to swirl her frosting like this. It's fun. This is a great chocolate frosting recipe.

Color's off, but there's my dooooor..... Leaning against the ledge. Alex said he will put it up tomorrow.

The Turrible Door

This has been a lot of hard work. Alex and I have both worked on it . It's over 50 years old, looks 50 years old, so I guess we've got vintage.
I'm hoping to get it up , maybe today or at the latest, tomorrow night. Mike is coming down next weekend and I want the kitchen basically finished. Last August when he gave us the painting, I told him I would have to redo my entire living room, kitchen area to complement the painting. We laughted. He doesn't know all that I've done. I've mentioned that I was painting, but that's all.

Crops Are In...

We are consuming a lot of lettuce. I think my skin is getting a green tinge to it. The peas just got big enough to pick. Threw them into my stir-fry. Also made rice and chicken. I don't always cook dinner because I've been in a turrible wrestling match with that door. I'll try to do a door post tomorrow.

Good news

The insurance adjuster was here today and everything will be taken care of including a dumpster to put the old carpet in and the cost for someone to move all my furniture out of the rooms and back again. So, I feel better now.
I also checked my insurance acct online and it shows a change of insurance companies in 2006 with only 1 claim paid so the other claim must have been with the previous company.
Good news....

I'm soooooo upset !!!!!!! What ever am I going to do?

I am painting my upstairs and came down to get my quart of dark brown to do the accent......I got back up to the top of the stairs and the darn can just jumped out of my hand !! I have no idea what happened !! It was like watching it in slow motion......bouncing on each stinking step all the way down splattering all the way down. It's everywhere......I'll never get that out of my rug and would you believe it landed down stairs in my living room under my couch and it splattered under the couch across the rug to the other side! I'm just sick! I can't get this clean!

OK, Threw My Diet in the Trash Last Night

He makes this stuff and then graciously invites me to have some.Chicken tenderloins in an absolutely scrumptious sauce. She made the cake and I stirred up the frosting. A cream cheese frosting that makes your knees go weak. What's a girl to do?

Garden Lettuce & Spinach

Greens, fresh oregano, tomatoes, red pepper, cucumber, green onion, black olives, feta cheese, and blackeyed peas.
Mango and banana for dessert. Easy and sooo good. My peas are starting to come. I think we will be having salads, salads, and more salads for awhile.

Dutch Bunnies

Yummy!

Rose's From My Rose Bush.....

Not a Stitch

Pinned and glued folks. Had such a small piece of fabric it wouldn't fit across the width of the window. Nancy suggested I make it on the bias. It worked, except it has little points instead of just straight across. There just wasn't quite enough fabric. Just a few more little inches... But, they are finished, yaaahoo. And they have a cheerful influence.

Ancestry.com .....findings.......

Are you ready for this?? I have gone back to the wonderful year of 923 in Sweden! Yep, we are Swedish too......Her name was Gunhild Sweden Olafsdottir Quenn Denmark. There was also a woman by the name of Hedwig Denormandy born in 1004 died 1034 , a man Richard I, Duke The Fearless born in Normandy in 933 died 966, and another woman, Gonnora Dutchess of Normandy DeCrepon born in 936 died 1031.
I'm going to have to look up what life was like in the 900's France because we have an ancestor that had 7 husbands and a whole slew of kids....I mean the list of kids must have been at least 20!
I've discovered some reallllllly odd names too.....Neel, Nigel, Lord Ordard, Horswine Cannon, Wolmer, Wolfric Hatton, Wolfaith Lord, Dovelina, Gonnor (girls name) , Herfast (boy's name), Hildoun, Nevia, Svend, Wevia, Senfrie.....nice huh?

By the Sea, By the Sea, By the Beautiful Sea
