Finished My Tablecloth.

They didn't have enough fabric, so I had to sew the stripes across the ends. I actually prefer it this way. Cousins coming tomorrow.

Needlepoint,Tablecloth Fabric and Tomatoes

A real steal thrift shop find. Was going to take the needlepoint out of the frame and make a throw pillow, but maybe I won't.
Fabric for a tablecloth.

We need heat.

Knock Out roses. Pink.

My "don't need a lot of water " plants.

A Few Shots of My Gardening Efforts

Nancy's phlox.
A peek at a tiny summer squash.

Do you see that angry, red hot pepper hiding in the flowers? My first experience cutting one open clued me into it's hot little personality. One stroke of the knife and my breathing passages were peppered with attention grabbing firey hot micro jabs. It's a bell pepper. I didn't know bell peppers came in " hot". There's a regular bell pepper growing there too. And a jalapeno.

Eggplant. Black Beauty. Lots of blossoms and hopefully lots of eggplant.

Butternut squash and parsley, tomatoes and basil, summer squash and banana peppers. Still need to plant up that forth bed. The nights have been too cold for the tomatoes to grow as they should.

St. Pete's Mini Va-Ca

Hmmm, Don tried his hand at picture taking....The chlorine did a number on my hair, even went swimming in the Ocean which I said I wouldn't never do.
Pictures from our hotel room, it was wonderful.

Baby Thomas -

This is the Kali sculpt by artist Romie Strydom and I've named him Thomas. I made his diaper and shirt and the matching teddy blanket. I got the booties, mitts, hat and blanket off ebay for about $20. Goes together good huh?

Potted Plant/Chocolate Cake

This is the potted plant I got from my neighbors, does it look too crowded right there or is it ok??
I gave you a shot of what it looks like coming out my front door also.

I baked this cake the other night, triple chocolate, Bree's friends inhaled it....lol Wish I could have.

A Late Lunch in the Garden

We were going out to lunch and I thot I better catch up with Lizzy. She was in NYC and might be coming home today. Indeed, she was on the road. Picked her up and stopped at KFC . Bob and I lunched in the garden.

Take a Peek...

Two tomato plants in their "lasagna bed". Oh yes, and a basil plant also.
Cucumber, basil and an heirloom tomato, "Brandywine". Green fluffy stuff- Italian oregano. Flowers- salvia. Will be putting something else in this bed.

Three kinds of peppers. Picked the first bell pepper yesterday (plant on right). Some things are in pots so the bunnies, groundhogs and voles don't get to them before I do. Rabbits supposedly are not interested in tomatoes, cukes, squash and I don't remember what else. We will see. I also am not sure if they want to scrabble up the sides of the lasagna beds.

A "Black Beauty" eggplant.

Blue Lake Pole Green Beans

My lasagna garden. Still building the front right one. I have tomato( 2, yellow pear and beef? something) , 1 basil, 2 yellow banana peppers,2 yellow crookneck squash,2 butternut squash, 3 parsley. May add more to these beds. Not sure yet what's going in the unfinished bed.
This is all in backwards. Finished garden receptacle( melted).

Beginning...

Gathered items for garden receptacle project.

Blue Lake Green Beans..... Lovin the sunshine.
