The doctor's were very concerned last nite. This morning they were amazed at how she stablized thru the nite. The bleeding is under control. The kidneys need to start functioning and the chest infection needs to get under control and heal. This would improve things drastically. Once the infection is taken care of she will be a better canidate for a Berlin Heart or a transplant. Her father Jon had incredible peace last nite and said he didn't care if she lost a foot or even her legs as long as he could bring her home and take care of her.

Good Morning All
Just a note to say that I will be spending the day with Donnie, he got off work early yesterday but slept most of the time ( which he desperately needed) so we have much to do today.........Not really anything special, just being together. We have decided to enlarge are back "stoop" to make room for the grill so he has to figure out the number and sizes of the pavers we need.
My prayers are with Lindsay and her family, cant begin to imagine what they are going thru. God carries us when we no longer have any strength.
You girls have a wonderful day. Go outside and take time for yourself in prayer, walk around your home and be ever so thankful for all that God has given you.
Love you all, carol

Grammies tablecloth
This is the tablecloth that Connie sent me that Aunt Connie had (atleast I think it was Grammie that made it). I made it into an apron today, I have to of the corner pieces left that I was planning on using as pockets but not sure where to put them. I could put them on a pillow and put them in my living room. Thank-you connie for a lovely gift that I will use and cherish (and try not to get soiled).

Chai Tea (Indian Spiced Tea)
2 cups water ,3-5 cloves,1 cinnamon stick, crushed,2-3 cardamon pods, crushed,1/4 cup sugar, 1 cup milk,2 tablespoons black tea leaves...1. put the water on the stove and add spices, bring to boil. 2. cover and let simmer for few minutes. 3. add sugar and milk, stir. 4. bring back to just barely boiling (watch pot, milk will bubble over). 5. add tea leaves, cover pot, remove from heat. 6. steep for 5 minutes. 7. pour thru filter to remove spices and tea leaves.

Lindsay's Blog ......This little girl is in a dire situation. The left side of her heart is damaged. She now has an infection and cannot use a"German heart" until the infection clears up. She cannot go back on the waiting list for a new heart until the infection clears up.Maybe I can put in a link. Her father went to the church I go to. They live in Michigan now. Her mother taught Sara and Alex to swim at Keswick.

A different direction Carol
Try to relax. I'm sorry honey. I'm sure you can come up with a beautiful list of things to do.By the way, the estate sale looks wonderful. Just to walk around looking at everything would be so fun. I'll be going to breakfast with Bob soon. I slept well last night. Haven't tried testing this knee yet today. Just doing the same things I did yesterday.I have been very naughty. I didn't put the knee thingy on yet. It does seem better. Well, more sunporch bags today. Jonathan got the last door in the hallway put up. Hip, hip hooray! Let's all pray for each other at two o'clock.
Connie and Teresa, hope you are having an interesting day, filled with beauty.of course, you too Carol. Love you guys.
Have a Blessed Day
Don has TODAY off so I wont spend much time on the computer. I didn't make a honey-do list for him however he ended up with one anyway......Last night Bree called to let us know the car kept stalling, new wires are needed. Last night when flushing the toilet I heard the innards make a loud mean noise, then poof, It wouldn't fush, needs new parts. The water company let us know that we need out "drip" in the kitchen sink fixed to bring down the water bill.......How's that for a fun filled "day off"..........If we (he) gets it all done this morning we're planning on watching a movie in the afternoon while my spaghetti sauce simmers on the stove.
Teresa my noodles last night were pretty good with just butter, salt & pepper. Thanks for the idea. The pork chops, however, made my house smell like feet......they too, were good though.....(: Phyllis are you keeping your leg up, with the knee brace and hot pad???? Connie take a day for yourself and enjoy, why dont you and KL make a special dinner for yourselves. Cooking relaxes me.......

Make me hungry!!
You guys make me hungry. Always cookin' somethin'! = ) And it always looks soooo delicious!
Since Kristy-lynn and I are home by ourselves until Wed. night we decided we are takin' it easy in the kitchen!! lol We had .99 cent chicken sandwiches last night from Jack in the Box. = ) MMMM, lots of sodium!! YUCK! They do taste good, but it would be a much healthier dinner prepared at home. I'm trying to help Kristy-lynn to think "healthy". She's my junk food princess. lol Enjoy the noodles...they look wonderful.

Babies Babies Babies
I've been making babies alot lately with no time for anything else! No, not actually the natural way! I just stuck one in the oven that I was working on last night and couldn't stay awake long enough to bake her. She is an Elias by Eva Wakolbinger. Another sleeping baby which I think are my favorite!
I'm excited that I got an custom order yesterday ( I had to email back and forth all afternoon with this nice lady)! She sells crochet patterns on ebay and I've actually bought one from her a few months ago. She seems really nice and did say she plans on ordering 6 or 7 more reborns so I really hope she likes my work. She already paid me 1/2 for this order so I've got the baby ordered and on it's way to me. Another one just like the one I have on ebay now.
I have so much yard work to do. I haven't even had time to finish raking yet. I got one of those Topsy Turvy planters and planted a tomato plant in it but I think it's been too cold for the young plant as it's not doing too well. I planted it on the 14 - about a week ago and it's wilting already. But the nights have been cold here so I'm thinking that might be the problem. Here's a pic or 2
It's nice to see you back on Connie. Hope all is well with you now.

Spring cleaning.....
I am trying VERY hard to clean out....nice to know Phyllis, that I'm in good company! I've been in this place before...but I think I'm serious this time. And Gary is with me, so this is really good. I have things that I have been given, like my mother in law was getting rid of that I really liked, but I suppose if I haven't used them EVER...and it's been say more than 10 years...I should part with them, right.....you know what the CORRECT answer is here, right ladies??? LOL I'm so afraid I'm going to be wasteful. = ( We live in such a disposable society.

This will hit the space.........(:
Repotted today.........nice outside
I repotted the "Ivy" this morning into a very large dog bowl, (Bo's). I intended them to go into the planters that you see. They need little added something to them but I really like the Ivy in the dish. I'll have to go back to the store for a few more to add to the planters.......Being outside today is wonderful.
Very "comfy" picture! = )
I really like that teapot. The whole setting is perfect for Sunday morning.
Good Morning
Hope you all have a lovely day. Not too sunshiny here, maybe later. Got a bunch done on my sunporch yesterday. More bags waiting for me. Lots more. An accumulation of many years, mostly papers. It feels wonderful to be getting rid of so much stuff.I could probably just throw them away without even looking thru everything, but am looking for my favorite picture of Barbie as a baby. Haven't seen it in years. Was sure I had put it in my little desk. Maybe it will turn up soon. Sara's thumb is ok. I will call the doctor's office in the morning. In a few minutes I will leave to pick up "Anne". She's 84 and very funny.Has us laughing all the way to church and all the way back home. God is good. His special blessing on each of you today.

Morning is so beautiful
Making Memories
We're always making memories
Through every day we live,
A something for our hearts to keep,
A something we can give,
A cherished moment from the past
That's firmly tucked away
For one quite far-off day.
Memories though large or small
Are treasures that we keep
Through times of joy or those of trials,
Successes that we reap.
It means so much to hold them near
In caring heart and mind -
The birdsong in a nearby tree,
A blue sky just behind.
It's easy to make memories
That always shall remain.
Choose carefully while dreaming dreams
To glorify Your name.
The miracles of God's bright world
Float gently on the breeze,
And loving hearts are happiest
While making memories.

Feels Good
All in All, yesterday was a good day. Having in mind the seven things that I really wanted to get done, I was able to accomplish it all with the help of my husband. Who really had other plans for the day and at times was a little "hmph" when I asked him for his opinion but by the end of the day we definitely felt the happy sigh of it all being done and out of our way. Now we can concentrate on other matters. I have a small list for today, when thats done the day is mine..........yea hoo..........
