Baby Ralphie

Today I'm working on my babies. This one is Ralphie. He's going to be a big boy, about 22 inches. I know, he needs a body and I'm working on that right now. I just stopped to take a few pics for you. I'm actually making 4 bodies and that'll take me the rest of this afternoon. Little Ralphie will probably get finished tomorrow so I can take more pictures and put his auction together for ebay.

A little about me

Hi,
I'm Teresa, a grandmother of 12 myself and that keeps me busy! I also create reborn baby dolls that are dolls/doll kits that are transformed into a most realistic looking art treasure. It is an actual art form and one baby takes me about 2 weeks to finish. Each one is a one of a kind. I use Genesis Heat Set paints which is cured in an oven. Yes! I cook my babies several times throughout the process! I usually add about 7 or 8 very thin layers of paint. I add veins and birthmarks and all the little newborn blotches throughout the body. The hair is done using a felting needle and Angora mohair. Very Very time consuming but worth every minute. The hair actually looks like it is growing out of the scalp! I'll post pictures soon so you can see how cute they are.
